Your Acupuncture & Chinese herbal medicine experts

Next Wave Optimal Health is a full-service Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Clinic offering acupuncture, non-needle based therapies such as cupping, tui na, and gua sha, and an extensive herbal pharmacy including hundreds of Chinese single herbs and herbal formulas.

Our approach is simple and individualized.  No magical cures.  No unrealistic expectations.  Just compassion, understanding and continuous learning about what it takes to change your life for the better.

Naturally addressing pain, fatigue, IBS, infertility, autoimmune disorders, and depression

We see success everyday but everyone is different. Every condition is different. If TCM is right for you, it is typical to see improvement or relief of symptoms within a few treatments. Length of treatment program will vary depending on the individual and their condition.

We treat women's and men's health issues & fertility, emotional health and depression, pain relief, respiratory issues, immune system imbalances, dermatological issues, gastrointestinal issues, and cardiovascular issues.

Our treatment strategies include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, gua sha, tui na, pulse diagnosis, and cupping

Our treatment strategy is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Traditional Chinese Medicine has been introduced to the West through acupuncture. Acupuncture is a common healing practice in China and neighboring countries. It is best known for addressing pain, but is used for all aspects of health in the East.  Research shows that acupuncture can be valuable in treating such diverse conditions as infertility, depression and allergic rhinitis (hay fever).

Acupuncture is a timeless approach to wellness, with a methodology and tools specifically designed to prevent and treat chronic disease. Needles are are used to engage the body's natural immune system.

Chinese herbal medicine

Chinese herbal medicine is a sophisticated form of natural medicine built on a tradition of using plants, minerals, and animals as part of a formula most often given as a tea, pill or salve.

Non-needle therapy

Most people agree that therapy using needles is not scary but some adults and children prefer non-needle therapy options. Options such as acupressure, tui na, shiatsu, cupping, gua sha and moxabustion.

Pulse Diagnosis

Chinese pulse diagnosis is considered the standard for diagnosing internal acute and chronic issues. Pulse Diagnosis is interpretation of blood flow and the feel of the radial artery near the wrist to determine the root cause of the issues.

The age of natural medicine and a potential resolution to chronic disease

Chinese medicine is the most sophisticated form of natural medicine in the world. It is both a science and art. It has been documented, researched and practiced by generations. Chinese medicine works with the body's healing response. It does not mask the problem, it does not remove the problem, nor does it take control. It works with your body to bring it back to balance. If clinical results are not enough, research continues to provide evidence of its value over Western and other complimentary therapies. As a result of the research, the National Institute of Health and World Health Organization have both given formal approval for certain uses of acupuncture.

It is time to embrace acupuncture and Chinese Medicine as your healthcare option

  • More than 8 million Americans have used acupuncture.
  • The National Institute of Health and World Health Organization have both given formal approval for certain uses of acupuncture.
  • Medical doctors refer their patients to acupuncturists more than to any other “alternative” care provider.
  • 51% of medical doctors believe acupuncture to be efficacious and of value to their patients.
  • Today’s acupuncture needles are extremely fine in diameter (about the thickness of two human hairs), pre-packaged, sterile, and disposable. There is no case of infection or contamination.
  • Acupuncture was originally used as a preventative medical procedure to keep people well.

Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine works!

Ever since I have started seeing David (for acupuncture and herbs), I can honestly say that I have felt better than I have at any other point in my life. I’m not just saying this either, had you asked me years ago about acupuncture, I would have provided skeptical comment. Dr. Wallace completely changed my opinion about the medicinal practice, and made me a believer.

“I love acupuncture. It just works!”

Dr. Dave is a great acupuncturist. Successfully treated me for migraine headaches many times.
